Attractions at Parco Sigurtà: 8kms of blooming beauty

The park is home to over 45,000 tulip bulbs (with some years seeing up to a million blooms), ancient plane trees, formal Italian parterres, romantic English-style meadows, a roseto with hundreds of varieties, and a series of tranquil water features fed by the Mincio. What makes Sigurtà distinct is that it doesn't feel curated to impress, it feels designed to delight, surprising you around every bend.

What awaits inside

Every zone of Sigurtà offers something distinct. Below are the key attractions, grouped by the type of experience they offer.

Gardens & floral highlights

Tulip meadows

Sigurtà's most photographed spectacle. During spring, vast meadows bloom in waves of red, yellow, violet, and white, often featuring up to a million bulbs in peak season.

The roseto

A formal rose garden featuring hundreds of heritage and modern varieties. Fragrant and visually rich, best explored in the morning before the heat builds.

Italian parterres

Formal geometric garden beds framed by centuries-old hedges and stone pathways, a study in classical garden design and seasonal planting.

English meadows & natural woods

Romantic sweeping lawns and wooded sections create a contrast to the formal gardens, ideal for picnics and quiet strolls. Stunning in autumn colour.

Water features & lakeside paths

Water lily ponds

A network of tranquil ponds covered with flowering water lilies, home to fish, frogs, and dragonflies. One of the most serene spots in the entire park.

Mincio river viewpoints

The park borders the Mincio River, and several points along the route open onto wide, peaceful views of the valley below, beautiful at any time of day.

Reflecting pools & fountains

Scattered throughout the formal garden zones, these ornamental water features add sound and movement to the garden's quieter corners.

Viewpoint terraces

Elevated terraces offer sweeping views across the park's meadows and water features, and on clear days, glimpses of the pre-Alpine foothills to the north.

Garden maze

A classic hedge maze that younger visitors love navigating. Tucked within the formal garden zone, it's a lively break from the longer walking circuit.

Pony rides & children's area

A dedicated family zone near the main facilities with pony rides and play areas, making Sigurtà genuinely enjoyable for the youngest visitors.
